This project helps European R&I initiatives to overcome challenging issues like standards and pricing to maximise the socio-economic impact of this new cloud ecosystem. CloudWATCH2 takes a pragmatic approach to market uptake and sustainable competitiveness for wider uptake and commercial exploitation. It provides a set of services to help European R&I initiatives capture the value proposition and business case as key to boosting the European economy. Within COEMS, a novel platform for online monitoring of multicore systems is developed. It gives insight to the system’s behaviour without affecting it. This insight is crucial to detect non-deterministic failures as for example caused by race conditions and access to inconsistent data. More information.


crossminer_logo.png The overarching aim of CROSSMINER is to deliver an integrated open-source platform that will support the development of complex software systems by (1) enabling monitoring, in-depth analysis and evidence-based selection of open source components, and (2) facilitating knowledge extraction from large open-source software repositories. elastest_logo.png ElasTest is a public funded project that will design and implement the ElasTest platform, a tool for helping developers to test and validate complex distributed systems. ElasTest platform is based on three principles: (1) test orchestration, combining intelligently testing units for creating a more complete test suite following the “divide and conquer” principle,(2) instrumentation and monitoring, customizing the SuT (Subject under Test) infrastructure so that it reproduces real-world operational behavior and allowing to gather relevant information during testing, (3) test recommendation, using machine learning and cognitive computing for recommending testing actions and providing testers with friendly interactive facilities for decision taking. The TESTOMAT project will support software teams to strike the right balance by increasing the development speed without sacrificing quality.
